Student Support
When a child is having difficulty in school, it can be very frustrating for them and those around them. The first step is to always work collaboratively with your child's teacher to resolve the concerns. An ongoing dialogue can lead to productive outcomes.
Continued concerns can be addressed appropriately through the NJ Tiered System of Support (NJTSS) model. This model is used by educators to progressively match the interventional approaches needed for each student. Pemberton Township Schools follows the Masonic Model through the Intervention & Referral Services Team (I&RST). This model teaches educators to work as a team to assist students who are "at risk". The objective is to provide early and effective interventions using resources readily available to the school community. This program is rooted in developing the social and emotional competence of the student. Interventions are goal oriented and data-driven with progress monitoring to help build student growth.
