"Tell me and I'll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I'll understand."  -- Chinese Proverb

My name is Donna Scarabaggio and I am thrilled to be the Assistant Principal of Denbo-Crichton Elementary School.  I consider it a privilege to be working alongside our very talented and highly qualified staff here at Denbo-Crichton to support your children, while helping them to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.  I have worked in the field of education for 20+ years, with this being my tenth year here in Pemberton Township.  I believe that a significant part of my role as an educator is to help create 'positive and welcoming learning environments' that are conducive to success for all students and families, while also helping to develop independent thinkers who go on to become life-long learners.  I also strongly believe that communication is key when it comes to promoting successful students, and truly value the parent-educator relationship.  To that end, I encourage parents/ guardians to reach out to me if, and whenever, necessary.

My significant experience as an educator, which includes my previous role as the Pemberton Township 21st Century Program Coordinator, as well as my many years as a classroom teacher (in a variety of capacities), could only be described as fulfilling, and nurtured my belief that every child can succeed when the right tools are put in their hands.  I thoroughly look forward to working with the community, students, parents, and staff as we “Pursue Excellence One Child at a Time!" together

My on-going goal is to, collaboratively, help create a learning environment at Denbo-Crichton that leads to students:

    • Learning to communicate in effective ways for a variety of purposes
    • Posing questions and seeking answers not only in science themed activities, but across all content areas
    • Making positive choices BOTH in and out of school, and
    • Contributing to the local and global community in a collaborative and respectful manner

Again, I  look forward to a successful, healthy, and exciting year that is filled with academic, social, and emotional growth for all students!

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me at any time.

    Yours in Education,

    Donna Scarabaggio
