    Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

Welcome back! To go along with our school theme of sports, here at Emmons we will be showing how being a part of an ALL-STAR Team means displaying good character! Each month we work on one character education trait to become an ALL-STAR student! The classroom teacher will choose one student each month from their class that has been ALL-STAR at demonstrating the character education trait. The student will receive an award and a coin. Coins can be cashed in for fun things at the school store. For the month of September, our students are demonstrating Responsibility. Responsibility is the first of our five core values. Below are some helpful hints on what you can teach your child at home about being responsible.

    Responsibility means...

    • Be accountable for your actions

    • Always follow the rules

    • Complete assignments on time

    • Keep your promises

    • Admit your mistakes and learn from them
