Hi there, I’m Mrs. Portee!

I have been teaching in Pemberton for several years. Prior to Pemberton, I gained over 12 years of teaching experience in the surrounding states of PA and DE. I’m an alumna of Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ and hold a Masters in Educational Leadership, from Neumann University, PA.

I went into teaching as a second career after having my first child start school, because I wanted to make an impact of young children’s learning. I teach with high expectations of every child and hold them to that throughout the year with encouragement and support.

When not in the classroom, I enjoy reading, biking, exercising, traveling, watching Yankees baseball and, during the summers, swimming while spending long hours on the beach!  I live in Burlington County with my husband and have two young-adult children, all of whom I'm extremely proud of.

I am very excited about our upcoming year together! Welcome to Third Grade!
