BA English Language and Literature Teacher of English K-12 Elementary School Teacher (k-5)
My name is Mrs. Soto, and I am so excited to be your child's 5th grade teacher this year! My goal is to ensure that every child in my class reaches their full potential through high energy, hands-on, and engaging lessons and activities. I encourage my "kids" to embrace a growth mindset, and help them to take ownership of their learning through goal setting, progress monitoring, and student-led conferences. I utilize the class dojo app to keep parents well informed of behavior, progress, and activities in the classroom. Our classroom has an open door policy, and we welcome parents and families to join us whenever possible. I believe that educating a child is a team effort, and my success depends on your support. If you need to contact me, you can do so through class dojo or my district email.
I earned my bachelors degree in English Language and Literature from Farleigh Dickinson University. I began my teaching career in Burlington Township school district at Fountain Woods Elementary School as an Academic Achievement teacher where I worked for over 4 years. I was excited to join Pemberton Township schools in September 2013 as a 4th grade teacher, and I love being a member of the Denbo family! This year will be my third year in 5th grade and I am excited to grow and learn with my students!
I am married with 2 amazing kids, and 2 crazy French Bulldogs. When I'm not in the classroom, you can find me on the sidelines of various sporting events cheering on my children, hiking or kayaking in our local state forests and lakes, visiting museums and exploring nearby cities, or reading a good book. Summer is my favorite season, as I love the warm weather, sea turtles, and time at the beach!
As a member of the community, I am honored to be a part of impacting the future of our township. I truly enjoy teaching and inspiring children to become life long learners. I look forward to working together to help our students have a successful year.
