PEMBERTON GRAPHIC ARTS
Welcome to Graphic Arts at the Pemberton Township High School
Students in this program will be given hands on opportunities to produce actual graphic productions, including notepads, flyers, letterhead, business cards, brochures, menus, magazine covers, movie posters, cartoon drawings, t-shirts, video editing using I-Movie, I-Photo, Comic Life, multimedia presentations, and basic website applications. Students will start by learning the basic fundamental graphic arts skills and techniques. Then proceed to the advanced concept-based courses stressing creativity, originality, and appropriateness of designs to their intended audiences. Students will also be introduced to the Mac Computer and software applications including Adobe Creative Suites (Illustrator & Photoshop) & Microsoft Office Suites.
My goal is to educate, teach, inspire, and motivate students with the knowledge, understanding, discipline, and social skills to further their education after graduation or to successfully seek employment in an entry level position in the field of Screen Printing, Graphic Design, Graphic Arts, Digital Design, Desktop Publishing, Production Management, and Digital Photography. Projects and classroom assignments will be fine-tuned in order to achieve my goal and an active hands on exploratory approach is taken to the introduction of I-Movie, T-Shirt Screen Printing, Heat Press T-Shirt Printing, Garageband, Sign Making, and Binding & Finishing.
