Medical Arts AcademyMission Statement
It is the expressed mission of the Pemberton Township High School Medical Arts Academy to provide motivated students with a specialized, yet comprehensive high school education that meets or exceeds the New Jersey Core Curriculum Standards as it prepares students for success in the medical arts field. A full range of healthcare opportunities will be explored as students pursue the wide variety of coursework provided by the program.
The program includes:
- Clinical experiences
- Mentoring
- Job shadowing
- Opportunities for internships and volunteer experiences at Deborah Heart & Lung Center
- Potential to earn college credits while still in high school
The Medical Arts Academy will create multiple career pathways that will enable students to develop the skills and knowledge base needed to successfully transition from high school to college or a career in the medical arts. The program provides coursework and experience that prepares students for early career exploration and preparation for all allied healthcare professions.
Students will have opportunities to participate in the following programs:

Earn College Credits While in High School, For a Fraction of the Cost!
Students at Pemberton Township High School have the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school! In partnership with Rowan College at Burlington County, students participating in the College Acceleration Program (CAP) may earn college credit for specific courses at PTHS, including select courses in the Medical Arts Academy course sequence. Students pay a reduced rate for the course and the CAP credit is transferable to any public college or university in New Jersey.
