Mr. Chris Szalma
I have been teaching at Pemberton Township High School since 2018. This is my 11th year teaching overall during the 2020-2021 school year. My background in education stems from my desire to always challenge myself to be the best person I can be day in and day out. I joined the Marines after high school then moved onto education after getting out 4 years later. I graduated from Monmouth University with my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education. I went on to Rowan University where I received my Master's degree in Special Education. I LOVE helping my students realize their greatness and motivating them to be the best version of themselves each day.
I currently teach Special Education and Math to all grade levels. I teach Algebra I and II, Geometry (my personal favorite), Consumer and Business Math courses here at the high school. I am a co-advisor for the Class of 2023 and Future Educators of America clubs. I encourage all students to get involved in some way either through clubs, music, sports, or other fine arts activities.
I am an avid sports enthusiast. I love the Washington Football Team (Redskins to me), the 76ers and the Flyers. I collect sports cards and Hess trucks as a hobby. In the summer, I enjoy spending time with my son at football practice and with my 2 daughters and wife at the beach and/or mountains in the Poconos.
