WELCOME TO GRAPHIC ARTS AT PEMBERTON TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL
Students in this program will be given hands-on opportunities to produce actual graphic productions, including notepads, flyers, business cards, brochures, menus, magazine covers, movie posters, cartoon & line art drawings, animation, video editing, multimedia presentations, and graphic design applications. Students will start by learning the basic fundamental graphic arts skills and techniques. Then proceed to the advanced concept-based courses stressing creativity, originality, and appropriateness of designs. Students will also be introduced to the Mac Computer and software applications, including Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator & Photoshop).
My goal is to educate, teach, inspire, and motivate students with the knowledge, understanding, discipline, and social skills to further their education after graduation or to successfully seek an entry level employment position in the field of Screen Printing, Graphic Design, Graphic Arts, Desktop Publishing, Production Management, and Digital Photography. Projects and classroom assignments will be fine-tuned in order to achieve my goal and an active hands-on exploratory approach is taken to the introduction of I-Movie, I-Photo, Screen, Vinyl, and Heat Press T-Shirt Printing, Garageband, and Binding & Finishing.
Upon completion of this program, students should have basic drawing, digital, and editing tool skills and an understanding of fundamental design theory to compete in today’s diverse consumer job market.
Thank you,
Curtis Taylor
