Mr. Gurden teaches English 1, 2, and 3, and has taught at Pemberton Township High School since September 2006. He is a yearbook adviser with the Citations yearbook club with Ms. Glassman, and often can be found in the gym during the winter season working the clock as a basketball announcer.

Prior to switching careers to education, Mr. Gurden was an award-winning sports writer and news editor with the Burlington County Times. He graduated from Rowan University and completed a graduate-school program in education at Rider University.
