Welcome to Room A19!  I’m Mrs. Wood and I will be the General Education Teacher in your child's classroom this year. I graduated from Trenton State College (The College of New Jersey) in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.

My husband, Phil, and I have been married for 35 years.  We have two children, Philip and Christina. They have both followed their respective careers to sunny Florida.  After school and on the weekends, I enjoy spending time with my family as well as hiking, kyacking and biking.   

For the past 37 years, I have followed my passion of providing quality early childhood experiences to countless children. I am proud to be entering my 22nd year in the Pemberton Township school district.  Your child is receiving the best education with our 5 star high quality early childhood program.  I was honored to be selected as the 2015-2016 Governor's Teacher of the Year for the Pemberton Early Childhood Education Center, as well as the Acme Teacher of the Month for January 2016.  I look forward to working with you to help your child develop both emotional and academic confidence and independence.  

Two other very important members of our learning community are:

Mrs. Jocelyn Holloman, who is the Special Education Teacher in the classroom.  Mrs. Holloman is entering her 6th year with the district.   

Mrs. Brenda Rivera the classroom aide.  Mrs. Rivera is entering her 20th year in the district.  Mrs. Rivera was honored to be selected as the 2018-2019 Support Staff of the Year for the Pemberton Early Childhood Education Center.  We have worked together as a team for 18 years!  Mrs. Rivera offers support to our bilingual students while making them feel comfortable using their home language while in the classroom.
