Hello Families of the B13 Goldfish! My name is Jaclyn Nini and I am your child's preschool teacher for this upcoming year! I have been teaching at PECEC since 2015 while working on my Master's in Early Childhood Education after receiving my Bachelor's from Towson University in Maryland. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with family, spending time at the beach or on nature trails, painting, and interior design. My passion for teaching and all of my experiences have all shaped me into the teacher I am today, and I am so proud to be part of the Pemberton School District Community! I am so excited to be your child's teacher and to have the opportunity to get to know both your family and your child as the year progresses. As your child's teacher, every day is a learning experience! Children thrive in a dynamic classroom that is child-centered and that embraces a child’s need to explore the world in order to understand it. Here at Pemberton's 5 Star Early Childhood Center a child's development grows through active learning, consistent daily routine, adult-child interactions, nurturing and development independent skills, and social and emotional skills in an engaging learning environment. Using developmentally appropriate practice and the HighScope curriculum, we build upon the strengths of each child and promote capable independence. We also follow a consistent daily routine so children learn classroom expectations as well as feel safe in their environment. From greeting time, to large group where we sing and move our body, small group which focuses on math, science, and literacy skills, and work time where children plan their days based on their interests and build upon their problem solving and social skills. We can't wait to begin learning, growing, and making many memories throughout the year!
