Mrs. Kelly Barton

I am an Intervention Specialist with the Preschool Intervention and Referral Team (PIRT) here at the Early Childhood Center. The primary role of PIRT is to provide support and suggested interventions to teachers so that all children can succeed within the general education classroom. Throughout the year, we will be working closely with classroom teachers to ensure that all children are receiving the supports they need.  As a PIRT member, I have knowledge and training in early childhood education, child development, the HighScope curriculum, special education, Child Study Team referrals, Positive Behavior Supports, modifying curriculum to suit student needs and implementing supports.  This year I will be working with the following classrooms at PECEC:  A-8, A-14, A-16, C-5, C-11, and C-13.  I will also be working with all of the Preschool classrooms at Fort Dix Elementary School.  My other responsibilities include Drop and Go for the Green Hallway in the mornings and the afternoons to ensure that our students get to and from their parents safely.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me at any time.  You can reach me at (609) 893-8141 x1037, or at kbarton@pemb.org. Looking forward to a wonderful school year!
