• Good morning! Today is Tuesday, March 31st and it is D Day, so we have music.  I hope everyone had a great weekend!  I miss seeing your smiling faces!

     

    You did a fantastic job with our first half of Lesson one yesterday.  Today we will be completing the even number problems on pages 594-598.

     

     

    Math assignment:

    1.Please complete the even numbered problems on  pages 594-598 in your math book.

    2.Please complete a page in your countdown packet- Countdown 9 weeks.  This sheet focuses on money and operations.

    3.Please use the formative assessment workpage and in box 12 please answer:  Show me a clock that says 6:00.

    4.Complete 15 minutes on Fasst Math and 17 minutes on Red Bird Math.

     

    Reading:

     

    Today we are going to work in the book, 68 Ways to Save the Planet.  You will finish the book and read pages 20-23.

     

    Today you will only  answer the three questions on the page, Grade 2, Lesson 6, part 1.  We will complete the vocabulary and journal page over the next two days.

     

    I have assigned you two optional assignments on Freckle (class code med35s). 

    Please complete 15 minutes on Red Bird Reading.

     

    Writing:

     

    Now that you have read all the tips in the book, make a list of the 5 tips you think you could start doing this year.  Remember, when we make a list we use numbers and short sentences/phrases.  You do not need to rewrite the question in the list- just make it your title.

     

    Example:

     

    5 Tips I Can Start This Year

     

    1. Go to the library
    2. Dry my hair naturally
    3. Carpool to work
    4. Use extra blankets instead of turning up the heat
    5. Use energy saving lightbulbs

     

     

    Read for 20 minutes and answer one of the questions provided on the sheet labeled Independent Reading questions in your Writing Journal.  Please provide the title of the book in your writing.  I am looking forward to finding out what you are reading and what you think about those books!
