Ms. Alyssa Joseph
Hi! My name is Alyssa Joseph, and this is my sixth year teaching preschool at Ft. Dix Elementary. I've been in the district for many years as a substitute, as an assistant, and finally as a teacher. As a graduate of Pemberton Township Schools and a former military child, there is no place I would rather be than working with the youth who are from my community.
I have a great passion for teaching, especially our little ones, to help them build a foundation for a lifetime of learning. I have a bachelor's in Visual Arts with a minor in Art History from Rutgers University, which led me to my first teaching experience at the community college level as an adjunct. From there I decided to go back to school to earn my Masters in Education and then a certificate in Early Childhood Education, both from Monmouth University.
I believe that all children can learn regardless of their ability. In addition, every child should be valued and treated with respect. My absolute favorite thing about teaching is seeing a child's face light up with a smile once they've made a connection and learned something new. Please remember that while children learn through play, it is their most important work and a vital part of their active learning. It is my duty to create and maintain a healthy and safe environment where your child can grow and thrive while exploring the world around them. I'm looking forward to a wonderful year getting to know both you and your child!
Thank you for sharing your child with us!
