HOUSING AND RELOCATION

With the relocation of some of our Fort Dix families, there has been a great deal of confusion regarding the schools. The Pemberton Township Board of Education passed a motion to ensure that all students who are enrolled in Pemberton Township Schools and housed on the McGuire/Dix/Lakehurst Joint Installation, would be permitted to attend the Pemberton Township Schools throughout their tour on the base. Several families are in the process of being relocated and though a child may be changing a bedroom, we don’t want them to have to change a classroom. 

We will assume the responsibility for transporting your student(s) to the Fort Dix Elementary School, the Newcomb School, the Helen Fort Middle School, or the Pemberton Township High School for the duration of your stay on the base. All you have to do is keep us advised as to your address and any moving date that you may be assigned. Please contact your school principal to expedite this process.

If we may be of any assistance or answer any other questions for you, please feel free to contact us through your child’s principal. Being a military family is taxing enough; we don’t want schools to be any more stressful on you or your children.
