As technology continues to dramatically shift and change the way we communicate and learn, Pemberton Township Schools remains in the forefront of using technology in the teaching and learning process. Every student in grades Kindergarten-12 is provided with their own tablet, including iPads at the younger level and Chromebooks in the high school. The computer-to-student ratio is 1 to 2.5, surpassing the nationally prescribed goal of 1 computer for every five students. In addition, the District Technology Plan provides for classroom computers and mobile wireless laptop computer labs, while stationary computer labs and state-of-the-art media centers provide students across the district with Internet access and the finest technology available.
The student information system, Genesis, provides a parent module that allows parents to access their child’s grades, attendance, discipline information and important forms. As well as serving as powerful communication tools, these technologies are helping the district move toward becoming a paperless environment.
