Degrees and Certifications:

NJ K-6 with Middle School Math endorsement Special Education (k-12) anticipated 9/24.

Mr. Paga

My name is Vaughn Paga and I am excited about beginning my first year as an eighth grade Mathematics teacher at Helen A. Fort Middle School.  This year I hope to provide my students with a supportive and nurturing environment where they have the opportunity to grow socially, emotionally and academically.

After graduating from Shawnee High School, I attended Drew University where I earned a degree in History and served as captain of the men's soccer team.  While studying at Drew, I enrolled in several teacher-preparation classes which sparked an interest in teaching.  Upon graduation, I enrolled at Rider University to pursue a career in education and earned a Master of Arts in Teaching.   I currently hold a New Jersey teaching certificate for grades K-6 with an endorsement in Middle School Mathematics.  Furthermore, I am in the process of earning a second Master's Degree in Special Education.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy playing soccer, basketball or hiking with friends.  Additionally, now that I am no longer a full-time student, I hope to have the opportunity to travel more than the yearly trip to the Jersey Shore each summer.  However, I am a little nervous about traveling out of the area because I would no longer be able to go to a Wawa to find my comfort foods.

I look forward to meeting you all in class this year.

Mr. Paga
