• HW Folders & Friday Folders

    Every student will have a red HW folder and a blue take-home folder.

    The red folder will travel between home and school every day, (Monday-Thursday). There is no HW on Fridays or on weekends unless a student fails to complete work on time.

    The blue folder will come home every Friday. Please remove all completed work, sign and date the log, and return the folder and log sheet on Monday.

    It is very important that these folders are returned promptly by your child. Please check them daily for important reminders or announcements.

     

     

    Homework

    Our first homework packet should come home on September 23rd. To reinforce the learning that takes place at school and to keep parents and families involved participants in their child’s learning, each student will bring their red homework folder home daily with assignments to do.

     

    Math homework is sent home daily. Please have your child complete both sides and return it the next day.

    Reading / Writing packets will be sent home every Monday and should be completed and returned every Friday. Fundations and grammar practice pages will come home as needed as part of the reading packet work.

     

    I feel very strongly that one of the most important things you can do for your child is to read with them. Studies continue to show the benefits of this. I do not require a reading log for reading at home because my goal is to encourage making memories and fostering your child's love of reading.

     

     

    *Reminders:

    Please remove and keep all papers on the “take home” side of the HW folder each night.

    Review, sign, and/or return the papers on the “back to school” side of the HW folder the following day.

    Please remove all completed work from the blue Friday Folder, sign and date the log, and return the folder and log sheet on Monday.
