My name is Joan McGovern, and I am excited to be part of the Pemberton Learning Community. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Stockton University, and my Master of Education degree in Reading from Widener University. I hold a New Jersey Elementary Teaching certificate, and a New Jersey Reading Specialist certificate. Over the past twenty-eight years, I have taught Pre-School, Kindergarten, Second, and Third grades. My goals for the 2024-2025 school year are to expand students' vocabulary growth, and to utilize new reading assessments to guide instruction.
