Mrs. Elyssa Schroth

Welcome to 2nd grade at Stackhouse!

A little bit about me...

My name is Elyssa Schroth. I was born and raised here in New Jersey and have lived in the area for over 30 years. This is my 15th year working in the public school system, my 3rd full year as a teacher with Pemberton, and my 1st year at Stackhouse. Additional previous experience includes 4 years working with the BCCAP Head Start program and several years in the private daycare sector.

Our Classroom Expectations

Our classroom is an environment in which all students will feel comfortable and safe to learn, make mistakes, and grow with confidence. I strive to be a very positive individual and hope to nurture this same positive attitude within each of my students. In addition to academic learning, social-emotional learning, self-regulating emotions and feelings, and social skills are extremely important to me. Our school-wide character education program focuses on positive character traits and the following 5 core values; responsibility, respect, integrity, service, and perseverance. We will spend a portion of each day focusing on one or more of these traits.

All students will be expected to:

  • work hard
  • be accountable for their learning
  • take personal responsibility for their actions, school work, and homework
  • make good choices relating to their behavior

We can learn best when all students maintain positive attitudes and respect one another.  Please feel free to contact me at anytime with any questions or concerns you have.
