Stackhouse School serves students in grades kindergarten through second grade. Along with rigorous academic programs and tutoring, we work to help our students develop socially and emotionally. Our Positive Behavior Supports programs provide incentives when children are "caught being good."
We are proud of the many extra-curricular activities offered to our students and their families, including Family Fun Nights, through our PTO. Here, parents and children play games, listen to stories, create crafts, engage in fitness activities, make new friends and network with neighbors. Another program unique to our school is the Parent-Child Literary Connection. This is a family book club in which adults read short novels with their children and then meet with other families over refreshments to discuss the selection. We also offer Science Nights, Math Nights and Lego Nights for students and their families.
Students at Stackhouse are actively engaged in community service. We hold two to three canned food drives per year. Our students assist at a local food pantry, packing grocery bags to be distributed to those in need. Our school also participates in the Pennies for Patients fund drive to support Leukemia research. Volunteers from the community and the Burlington County RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteers Program) visit our school weekly to practice reading with our young learners.
