Hello, My name is Mr. Shields and I teach Information Literacy and Coding at Marcus Newcomb Middle School.
Information Literacy is a fun enrichment course where students decide what online content is useful and truthful, while discovering ways to identify misinformation and dishonest content on the internet.
Coding involves computational thinking and the use of algorithms to solve fun puzzles using a block language similar to Javascript computer language.
I look forward to another awesome year with the students at Marcus Newcomb Middle School!
