Ms. Erin Finnegan

My name is Erin Finnegan. I am pleased to introduce myself as the library teacher for both Emmons and Busansky Schools. I am very excited about the 2017-2018 school year!

I was born and raised in Merchantville, New Jersey. After graduating from Camden Catholic High School, I attended Rowan University where I earned a dual Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Communications-Writing Arts. In 2008, I began my teaching career in the Camden City Public School District. In 2011, I was nominated as Teacher of the Year. During my tenure in Camden, I went back to Rowan University to further my education. I received my Master's Degree in Reading Education with a Reading Specialist Certification.

I am a member of Kappa Delta Pi (International Educational Honor Society); Mortar Board Honor Society; Sigma Delta Mu; Golden Key International Honor Society.

My greatest passion as an educator is creating a kind and loving environment. My students are always encouraged to work hard, take risks and try their best while being supported with positive reinforcement from me as well as their fellow classmates.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at efinnegan@pemb.org. I am looking forward to working with you this school year.
