Dr. Tamra Garbutt, Principal
I have been an educator for over 26 years. For twelve years now it has been my pleasure to be principal of Fort Dix Elementary School. I graduated from Indiana State University with a Bachelor of Science, Rider University with a Masters of Arts in Educational Administration and Supervision, and earned my Doctorate of Education in Teacher and Administrator Leadership from Walden University in 2012. Some of my educational experiences include being a Kindergarten and Elementary educator, High School and Adult Education teacher, Vice Prinicpal, Department Chair, Advisor for the Fifth Grade National Elementary Honor Society, and Supervisor for the Gifted and Talented Education program. Throughout the years I have met and worked with many wonderful students, parents, and staff. It is my goal to make Fort Dix Elementary School the best it can be for all stakeholders. I live in New Jersey with my husband and children. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, sewing, and going to the beach in Florida.
