Mrs. Dionne Collins
Hello my name is Dionne Collins. I am originally from Brooklyn, New York, with family roots originating from the island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines located in the West Indies. When not teaching, I can be found on the soccer field, at dance class cheering my girls on, and most recently the softball field. I love sports and enjoy the time spent at various games!
I have a BA in English, MS in Education Administration, and I am currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. I am an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated and the Fist Vice President of Zeta Delta Zeta Chapter in Burlington County. I participate in numerous fundraisers for higher education scholarship, March of Dimes, Breast Cancer Walks, and an advocate for community social action engagement.
I enjoy reading a variety of genres, writing short stories, and look forward to challenging my students to enhance their skills and open their minds to maximize their true potential! Education has always been a part of who I am and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the amazing, astounding, and awesome children of Pemberton Township Schools for the past 17 years. As a part of our Character Education Team, I am engaged in committees involving Cultural Competency and Trauma Sensitive Schools. I am a student advocate and believe in the ability of all students having the ability to learn and achieve! As the Reading Interventionist at Busansky, I facilitate the Just Words and Fundations reading programs for students in grades 3-5, and I engage students in setting goals for the current year and for the promising future that awaits them. Additionally, I strive to build positive and culturally conscious relationships will all students, parents, and colleagues!
