Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Joshua Besserman

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Joshua Besserman and I am the School Counselor at the Samuel T. Busansky Elementary School.  I received a Bachelor’s Degree from Towson University in Psychology, and attended Rider University for my Master’s Degree in Counseling Services, and have my K-12 New Jersey School Counselor Certification.

As a School Counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote the academic, personal, and social development of all students.  I look forward to offering support to the students, staff, families, and the community.  I will be meeting with students individually and in small groups, conducting classroom lessons, meeting with parents, collaborating with teachers and staff, and consulting with community organizations to benefit and meet the needs of all Denbo students and families.

**Confidentiality**
Please note that all information discussed is confidential between your child and myself unless they are planning on hurting themselves, hurting someone else, or someone is hurting them.

Any student can request to meet with me or they can be referred by a teacher, administrator, or parent.  I encourage you to reach out to me if you have any concerns regarding your child.  If you would like me to meet with your child, or to set up a meeting please do not hesitate to contact me.

I am here to help students achieve their personal/social and academic goals, as well as provide support for the parents and teachers. I am very excited for the school year and work with all the wonderful students, staff, and families of the Samuel T. Busansky Elementary School.

Warm Regards,

Mr. Josh Besserman, MA, NCC
