Mrs. Dionne Collins

Hello, my name is Dionne Collins. I am originally from Brooklyn, New York, with family roots originating from the island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines located in the West Indies. When not teaching, I can be found on a soccer field and softball field. I love sports and enjoy the time spent at various games. I would love to see my students play sports as well.

I have a BA in English, MS in Education Administration, and I am pursuing a doctoral degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. I am an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated as the First Vice President of Zeta Delta Zeta Chapter in Burlington County and the NJ State ZMN Coordinator. I participate in numerous fundraisers for higher education scholarships, March of Dimes, Breast Cancer Walks, and an advocate for community social action engagement.

I enjoy reading a variety of genres, writing short stories, and look forward to challenging my students to enhance their skills and open their minds to maximize their true potential! Education has always been a part of who I am and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the amazingastounding, and awesome children of Pemberton Township Schools for the past 19 years. As a part of our Character Education Team, I am engaged in committees involving Cultural Competency and Trauma Sensitive Schools. I am a student advocate and believe all students have the ability to learn and achieve!

As the Reading Interventionist at Busansky, I will be working in collaboration with classroom teachers to engage students in ELA lessons and developing their reading comprehension and writing skills. I look forward to setting goals for the current year and for the promising future, that awaits each student. Additionally, I strive to build positive and culturally conscious relationships will all students, parents, and colleagues!
