Busansky Upper Elementary School Safety Patrol
Welcome! I am excited to continue the implementation of the AAA Safety Patrol Program.
The primary purpose of the program is to enhance the safety of our students. In addition, the program promotes the development of leadership skills, good citizenship qualities and sound academic skills.
A safety patrol’s job is to model for students the safety rules that have been taught in the classroom, to assist students in safe transitions throughout the building, to assist student walker and bikers across streets as they arrive and depart school and to assist the bus driver with bus passenger safety procedures.
Patrols receive training and instructions in safety guidelines and procedures during an initial training and regularly at patrol meetings.
Here is where you will find information about our School Safety Patrol. The calendar will be regularly updated with meeting dates/times & other events the patrol may have going on, please check it often. You will find photos in the picture sections and our newsletter will be linked here as well.
All communications will be sent through “Class Dojo”
I am excited to be leading the Safety Patrol for another year and I look forward to working with your children.
By now, your child should have received a letter stating whether he/she has been selected for the safety patrol or not. Letters went out in July/August to ALL students who applied.
If you have any questions about your child’s participation on the Safety Patrol, please contact me.
