Samuel T. Busansky school was named after Dr. Samuel Busansky who was a general practitioner in Browns Mills. He was born in New York City, graduated of New York University and the New York University Medical School. His specialty was chest and heart diseases and general practice for the community for 40 years. For years, he was the local doctor for the Pemberton area and school physician for the Pemberton Township Schools for 30 years. He was also the school doctor for the Pemberton Township District for decades. Dr. Busansky never married. He had a unique personality and dedicated his life to caring for others.
After his death, two maintenance men transferred his shingle to the courtyard of the school named in his honor and it can be found on the right side of the courtyard. This is a lasting tribute to the man who served the community well.
