Artists Certificate and Valedictorian DuCret school of Arts B.A. Art Education, Magna Cum Laude, The College of New Jersey

Mr. Jesse Titus

Please reach me via email at jtitus@pemb.org.

Mr. Titus graduated as Valedictorian from the DuCret School of Arts. He later received a B.A in Art Education from The College of New Jersey and continued study at the Art Students League in New York.  Mr. Titus also organized and directed an artist guild for 3 years which raised several thousand dollars for charity. Before becoming a teacher, Mr. Titus worked as a freelance artist, ran a gallery and frame shop, sculpted for a private studio and worked as a black and white photo developer. He has taught in the Pemberton Township School district since 2008. His personal art is most often based in traditional realism and his favorite mediums are watercolor, oil paint and sculpture.  His personal interests include hiking, camping, gardening, primitive skills, and hockey. He lives in Shamong with his wife and five children.

My goal for Grades K-5 is to get students excited about and confident in their artistic skills. Along the way we will cover key vocabulary and the elements and principles of art. Students will work with pencils, crayons, markers, paints, clay, scratch board, collage, popsicle sticks, tissue paper and other 3-d materials. We will cover diverse artists and art styles from around the world. We will encourage other classmates and offer constructive suggestions by means of critique.
