Welcome to the Ft. Dix Media Center web page.  I am the librarian and Innovation Lab teacher at Ft. Dix Elementary School. This is my eighth year in this position. However, I have been teaching in the district for the past 22 years. A native of New Jersey, I am a graduate of Rowan University where I have earned both graduate and undergraduate degrees. I am an NJ-certified reading specialist.

It is my goal to support classroom teachers with their literacy instruction, as well as offer reading and writing strategies to families for use at home.  Most importantly, I wish to share my love of reading with students as well as get them motivated to read.  Book selection is very important for all readers.  I am proud to say we have an extremely large selection of books available at various reading and interest levels.

Our new Innovation Lab program originated in Feb. 2022 and immerses students in many hands-on, inquiry-based lessons such as circuitry and coding. 

I am looking forward to working with all of you this year!
