Howard L. Emmons School enrolls eager and enthusiastic students in kindergarten through second grades. The school's mascot is Rocky Raccoon.
I am Mr. Schmidt, the principal here at the Howard L. Emmons School. My past experiences in education are teaching third and fourth grade in New Egypt, NJ, not too far from here. I did this for a little over seven years. I then came here to Pemberton Township as an Elementary Curriculum Supervisor for two years before becoming a school principal. In the past, I have been the principal at the Haines School and the Busansky School within our district, spending six years at each building. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Trenton State College, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the same school. This school is now known as The College of New Jersey. I also have a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Rider University in order to be able to serve in my present position.
I am very proud to be the principal of the Emmons School. I fully anticipate a great 2024-2025 school year. Together, with your support, we would like to make the upcoming year rewarding and successful for every student. All teachers and faculty members work diligently every day and strive to give all students an excellent academic foundation on which to build as new knowledge, concepts, and skills are presented, learned, and mastered. While at the Emmons School, all students will come to an understanding of the importance of becoming lifelong learners so that they will become productive members of the greater community beyond school. I look forward to helping in the successful academic pursuits of everyone in the building. Don’t ever hesitate to contact me at the school for any reason.
