Emmons Mission:

Each child will reach their fullest potential academically, socially and emotionally, preparing them to be exceptional global citizens. Our vision is to provide a safe and caring environment where, as a community, all students build a strong academic, social and emotional foundation ensuring a love of learning in a multicultural society. 

As in the past, our staff has attended a series of Professional Development workshops required by the District. A school-based team was trained to present these workshops to the school faculty. We have worked in areas such as differentiation instruction, comprehension skills, literacy skills as well as the development of writing skills. Emmons school uses constructivism as an educational pedagogy which aligns to ReadyGen and My Math.

We have many fun and exciting events during the year. Some examples: Ice Cream Social, Grandparents' Day, Fall Festival, Spring and Winter Concerts, Parent Tea, and many more.  Many dedicated parent and staff volunteers devote their time and effort to make these activities successful events.  Emmons School is works closely with community businesses in order to establish an ongoing partnership between school and home. If your children attend our school, you will soon realize that your entire family is welcomed and nurtured as part of our Emmons School family.
