Mrs. Michelle Vasquez

Welcome to Kindergarten!!

I am so excited for this new school year at Emmons Elementary School! This is my 18th year teaching Kindergarten at Emmons. I am a Pemberton Township graduate and actually attended Emmons for Kindergarten through Second Grade. It's amazing to work at the school where my education began. After graduating from High School, I attended Burlington County College and worked as a Kindergarten Aide in Pemberton at Harker-Wylie Elementary. I graduated from BCC with an Associates in Liberal Arts and transferred to Fairleigh Dickinson University. I earned a BA in Humanities and a MAT in Elementary Education. After graduating, I was hired as a Kindergarten teacher at Emmons.

Mrs. Ludke is my Classroom Aide and is the best around.

My goal is to always create a comfortable, safe, and challenging learning environment where children are inspired to become lifelong learners. Kindergarten is an amazing grade to teach. The children grow so much throughout the year and develop into beginning readers.

Fun Facts: I am married to my high school sweetheart, Nelson. He is the Director of Technology for Shamong Schools. We just recently celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary. I am a mother of two children, Mya (13) and Nikko (10). We have a dog named Luna that we adopted from a rescue. I love spending time with my family and traveling. We are huge Pittsburgh sports fans and enjoy cheering for the Steelers and Penguins. My favorite season is fall and I love pumpkin everything. My favorite color is purple.
