Hello! Welcome to Second Grade!!  This is my 23rd year in Education and my 20th year as a teacher at Emmons School.  I first attended Emmons as a student many years ago and now, I welcome the opportunity to give back to the community to serve as an educator where I first developed my love of learning. I have experience working with children of all ages. My first two years at Emmons were spent in Preschool, followed by six years in Kindergarten. I left Kindergarten to teach a year in Fourth Grade and the following year, I moved to Second Grade, where I have lived ever since!

I love working with children and helping them grow socially, emotionally, and academically.  It is my mission to help children become thinkers, growers, and overall life-long learners. I believe the first way to do that is by building connections with my students and their families. I value the parent-teacher relationship and encourage parents to visit the classroom whenever they get the chance.  I know that with a good relationship we can accomplish all of the goals and objectives that we set together for your child.

Additionally, I am a mother of two beautiful children of my own, a daughter who is 26 and a son who is 23. I'm also a grandmother of an adorable 5 year old little girl!  Family is very important to me and I recognize that, while at school, your children are "my kids" as well.  It is with great pleasure and optimism that I look forward to working with your family this year. Together, I know we can make a difference in your child's life!!
