This spring, your child(ren) will be taking a standardized assessment, the New Jersey Student Learning Assessments (NJSLA). NJSLA replaces the standardized assessment formerly known as the PARCC (Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers). In order to help our students prepare for the exam, we are offering free tutoring, with a heavy focus on test taking strategies and skills that are specific to the NJSLA. It will begin on Monday, February 4th, and will run every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning through March 29th. The lone exception will be no tutoring on Wednesday, March 6th due to the 2 hour delayed opening. The start time for each session will be 8:00 am. We would like for every student to take advantage of this opportunity to increase his/her readiness for this assessment. Once the program is underway, all participants who miss no more than three (3) sessions will receive a special reward in June (the attendance rule for the program will not apply when a student is absent from school).
