District Goals 2026-2027

District Goal #1:  Maintain a comprehensive and adaptive action plan to strengthen our scholars’ social and emotional competencies.  This will include a focus at HFMS to promote digital well-being and balanced technology use by reducing electronic distraction related discipline incidents by 50% and achieving an 85% positive staff perception rate regarding student attentiveness and engagement during instruction for the 2026-2027 school year.

District Goal #2:  Maximize resources to maintain safe, secure and healthy learning environments, provide staff and students with necessary programming and materials to be successful, include assertive advocacy for fair funding (including preschool) and communicate on the financial status of the district with all stakeholders.

District Goal #3:  Ensure high academic standards, while focusing on the value of every minute of school instruction matters.  The number of students reading at grade level on the 2026 Spring Map Assessment will increase by 5% on the 2027 Spring Map Assessment.  At least 56.54% of students will be reading on grade level.

District Goal #4:  As attendance is vital to the overall success of our scholars, action plans will be developed at each school to decrease the number of Chronically Absent students by 5%.  Fewer than 21.21% of students will be Chronically Absent.
