My professional education work experience spans over 30 years in Industry, Adult Vocational Education, and Secondary Vocational Education as a vocational teacher, coordinator, supervisor, and director in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. I obtained a BS in Human Services from Springfield College and several Post Baccalaureate Vocational Education and Administration Certifications from Rowan University including Cooperative Industrial Education Coordinator, Supervisor, and Principal. I completed an MA ED-Instruction from Central Michigan University. I also have various vocational certifications from Lincoln Technical Institute and Camden County Vocational Technical School. My professional memberships include: NJCEA – New Jersey Cooperative Education Association incorporated as New Jersey Cooperative Industrial Education Coordinators Association, CTEANJ-Career and Technical Education Association of New Jersey, ACTE – Association Career and Technical Education, EOSHI – Safe Schools Task Force, NJDOE-CTE Advisory Council. At PTHS, I serve as CTE Facilitator, SLC Chair, School-to-Career Advisory Board Facilitator, and executive committee member of the Medical Arts Advisory Board.
Since my June, 2000 arrival to the Pemberton Township School District as Cooperative Industrial Education Coordinator, Pemberton Township High School (PTHS) students have acquired the most New Jersey Cooperative Education Association NJCEA/NJCIECA state scholarships from 2002 to 2016 totaling nearly $2,250,000. Other scholarships have been granted by Career & Technical Education Association of New Jersey (CTEANJ) and funds provided by the Burlington County Youth Opportunity Program (YOP), which I have coordinated in district since 2000. I have been an executive committee member of the New Jersey Cooperative Education Association since 2001 and elected State President 2007-09 and now 2015-17. I am serving my eighth consecutive term (2002-2018) as State President of the CTEANJ. I received the New Jersey State Coordinator of the Year Award in 2011 and Governors Educational Services Professional Award at PTHS in 2015.
