Students at Pemberton Township High School have the opportunity to
earn college credit while still in high school!
In partnership with
Burlington County College, Pemberton Township Schools offers college credit for select courses at PTHS. Courses designated as BCC CAP courses are taught
during the regular school day by members of the PTHS staff who are also
certified as BCC adjunct professors.
Students must maintain a minimum of a 'C' average and enroll in BCC
in order to obtain college credits.
Benefits to the CAP program include:
1. Students pay a greatly reduced rate of only $125 per course. (A
typical 3-credit course at
BCC costs over $400.)
2. CAP credit is transferable to any public college or university in New
Jersey.
3. Many out-of-state colleges also accept credit earned through a CAP
program.
4. PTHS currently offers over 35 courses that qualify as CAP courses,
allowing students to get a
significant jump on college while still in high school!
