SUBSTITUTE APPLICATION PROCESS
Thank you for your interest in substituting for the Pemberton
Township Schools. To begin the sign-up process, please obtain the
following for your Criminal History Review and Fingerprint
Instructions.
1.) First, go online to “CRIMINAL
HISTORY REVIEW “ at
www.nj.gov/education/educators/crimhist.
THE $10.00 FEE MUST BE PAID
ONLINE USING A CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD.* There is a $1.00 processing fee at
time of payment. *For those who do not have a credit or debit card,
you may purchase a prepaid credit card for this process.
Once you have “successfully submitted” your e-file Criminal
History Check, be sure to print the confirmation page.
2.) Click on the attached MorphoTrak form,
which has
instructions for making an appointment to be fingerprinted.
(Click here for fingerprint forms and
additional substitute instructions.) Please have the MorphoTrak form
ready when you call or go online with your information prior to making
the appointment.
To make your appointment call: 1-877-503-5981 (Toll free) Monday through
Friday,
9 am to 5 pm Saturday, 8 am to 12 noon; or go online to
www.bioapplicant.com/nj
If making your appointment online, you
may also pay online.
3.) You will need to take the following items to
your Morphotrak appointment:

Completed
MorphoTrak Form
· Valid photo
identification (Acceptable forms of identification include:
federal/state/county/municipal photo ID cards, photo driver’s license or
passport
· $67.50
– money order or credit card (no personal checks) if not paying
online.
***PLEASE NOTE****
If you have been previously fingerprinted (after February 21,
2003) you do not need to be re-fingerprinted; however, you will need to
go online to the above website to pay a fee of $32.55 (plus $1.00
processing fee) to the state of New Jersey to order your archive
background check. (Print your confirmation page)
Once you have completed the above process, please
contact Cheri Anderson in Human Resources at (609) 893-8141 ext. 1019 for
an appointment to complete the additional paperwork. NO WALK-INS!
APPOINTMENTS ONLY!
Bring with you to your appointment:
- Two forms of identification (driver’s license and Social
Security card).
- A copy of your latest Mantoux test (TB) results. (The
test can be obtained free of charge from the High School Nurse on
Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.)
- For Substitute Teachers: If you have a Teacher
Certificate, you will need to provide the original.
To obtain a County Substitute Teacher
Certificate, you will also need:
- An official sealed transcript indicating 60 credits.
(Substitute nurses will need RN verification.) Transcripts can be
mailed to the above address to the attention of Cheri Anderson.
5. A money order or certified check in the
amount of $125.00 made payable to NJ
Commissioner of Education.
The Certificate is issued for a five year period.
